Tri-fold mirror adjustment: Achieving the perfect viewing angle

Start by placing the central panel directly in front of you, then adjust the side panels to a slight angle – enough to see the sides of your face without distortion. This provides a good starting point for makeup or grooming.

Position the central panel to face forward, then angle the side panels inwards to create a wider viewing angle. You may need to experiment with the angles to completely see the back of your head, using a handheld mirror for fine adjustments.

If space is tight, try angling the side panels more sharply inwards. This reduces the overall footprint of the mirror while still providing a wraparound view. You can also consider a smaller tri-fold mirror designed for compact spaces.

Avoid extreme angles. The greater the angle of the side panels, the more potential for distortion. Adjust in small increments and check your reflection from different distances to find the optimal balance.

Use a microfiber cloth and a glass cleaner specifically designed for mirrors. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the reflective surface. Spray the cleaner onto the cloth, not directly onto the mirror, to prevent streaks.
